"A beautiful bar should never be the line item that surprises you. Here is exactly what mobile bartending costs in San Antonio — and why."
The Short Answer
For a wedding or private event in San Antonio, expect to invest between $700 and $1,800 for a professional mobile bartending package (ice included), plus the cost of your alcohol. Hourly bartender-only service runs $80 per hour for smaller gatherings.
That range covers a huge difference in experience — from a single bartender at a backyard party to two premium bartenders behind our signature green wooden bar at a 150-guest wedding at Chapel in Gruene or The Vessel. Below we break down exactly where every dollar goes.
What San Antonio Couples Actually Pay
We publish flat-rate pricing because we believe luxury should feel effortless, not evasive. Every package below includes ice, cups, straws, napkins, garnishes, mixers, bar styling, setup and breakdown.
Why "Dry Hire" Saves You 30–50%
Most licensed open-bar caterers in San Antonio charge $25–$45 per guest for alcohol plus service. For 100 guests, that is $2,500–$4,500 before gratuity.
Sip N Social on Wheels is a dry hire bar. You buy the alcohol yourself — at Total Wine, Spec's, Costco, or through our delivery partner — and pay retail instead of a marked-up per-drink rate. We then provide the bartenders, the bar, the mixers, the craft, and the polish. Our clients routinely spend $1,000–$1,800 total on alcohol for 100 guests, keep every unopened bottle, and never pay a per-drink premium.
Costs That Catch People Off Guard
- Travel: $50 flat fee beyond 30 miles of New Braunfels — most of San Antonio, Stone Oak, Boerne, Helotes, Schertz and Cibolo fall inside the radius.
- Ice: Included in every cocktail package — we bring it, chill it, and keep the bar stocked all night.
- Gratuity: Not included. Most couples add 15–20% or allow a tip jar.
- Extra hours: Available on every package — ask at consultation.
- Custom branding: Frosted logo cups from $200, personalized photo drink stirrers from $150, or the bundle at $450.
What Makes a Mobile Bar Worth It
The difference between a $700 package and a $1,800 package is not just hours. It is the number of bartenders (line length at the bar is the #1 wedding complaint), the sophistication of the cocktail menu, premium syrups and fresh-pressed juices, dedicated water and soda stations, and the bar itself as a design piece in your photos.
For a 30-guest birthday, Keeping It Simple is genuinely all you need. For a 120-guest wedding, Classy but Not Sassy is where most couples land — two bartenders means no line, and three signature cocktails give the night a personality.

Frequently Asked
Questions We Hear Most
How much does a mobile bartender cost in San Antonio?
In San Antonio, a professional mobile bartending package typically runs $700 to $1,800 for a full event. Sip N Social on Wheels offers flat-rate packages that all include ice: Keeping It Simple ($700, 3 hours), Classy but Not Sassy ($1,200, 5 hours) and Sip N Premium ($1,800, 6 hours). Bartender-only service is $80 per hour.
Is alcohol included in the price?
No. We are a dry hire service, which means you purchase the alcohol directly (usually at wholesale or retail prices) and we handle everything else — the bar, bartenders, ice, mixers, garnishes, cups, and setup. This typically saves clients 30–50% compared to a licensed open bar.
Do you charge for travel?
We are based in the New Braunfels / San Antonio area. Events beyond a 30-mile radius carry a $50 travel fee. San Antonio is well within our regular service area.
How far in advance should I book?
Peak wedding season dates (March–June and September–November) book 6–12 months out. We intentionally limit our calendar to around 20 weddings a year, so we recommend inquiring as soon as you have a date.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not included in package pricing. Many clients choose to add 15–20% for the bar team or allow a tip jar at the bar.
