"Austin weddings have a reputation for beautiful venues and eye-watering bar bills. Only one of those has to be true."
The Short Answer
In Austin and the surrounding Hill Country — Dripping Springs, Lake Travis, Georgetown, Round Rock, Cedar Park — a professional mobile bartending package runs $700 to $1,800 (ice included), plus your alcohol. Bartender-only service for small gatherings is $80 per hour.
Austin venue pricing tends to run 10–20% higher than San Antonio for in-house bar packages. That gap is exactly why so many Austin couples choose a dry hire mobile bar: you bring the beauty and the bartenders, and skip the venue markup.
Our Flat-Rate Packages
Every package includes ice, cups, straws, napkins, garnishes, mixers, styled bar, setup and breakdown. Prices are the same whether your venue is in Austin proper or 45 minutes out in the Hill Country — only a $50 travel fee applies beyond our 30-mile radius.
Austin Open Bar vs. Dry Hire: Real Numbers
A typical Austin venue or caterer open bar quotes $30–$50 per guest for a 4–5 hour reception. For 120 guests that is $3,600–$6,000, and you keep nothing at the end of the night.
With Sip N Social on Wheels, the same 120-guest wedding looks like: Classy but Not Sassy package ($1,200, ice included) + alcohol you purchase at retail (typically $1,200–$2,000 for 120 guests with a curated 3-cocktail menu plus beer and wine) = roughly $2,400–$3,200 total, with every unopened bottle going home with you. Most couples save $1,200–$2,800.
Where the Money Goes
- Bartenders: Two premium bartenders on our mid and top tier — no 20-minute bar line during your first dance.
- The menu: Three hand-designed signature cocktails, printed menus, premium syrups and fresh juices.
- The bar: Our signature green wooden bar (Sip N Premium) is a photograph waiting to happen.
- Stations: Dedicated water and soda stations keep the main bar moving.
- Details: Frosted logo cups ($200) or personalized photo stirrers ($150) turn a drink into a keepsake.
Budget Tips from Behind the Bar
- A curated 3-cocktail menu costs less in alcohol than a full open bar — and guests love it more.
- Buy beer and wine at Costco or Spec's; return unopened cases where the retailer allows.
- Signature cocktails built around one spirit (tequila or vodka) simplify purchasing dramatically.
- Book off-peak months (July, August, January) for the most calendar flexibility.

Frequently Asked
Questions We Hear Most
How much does a mobile bartender cost in Austin?
In Austin, a professional mobile bartending package typically runs $700 to $1,800 for a full event. Sip N Social on Wheels offers flat-rate packages that all include ice: Keeping It Simple ($700, 3 hours), Classy but Not Sassy ($1,200, 5 hours) and Sip N Premium ($1,800, 6 hours). Bartender-only service is $80 per hour.
Is alcohol included in the price?
No. We are a dry hire service, which means you purchase the alcohol directly (usually at wholesale or retail prices) and we handle everything else — the bar, bartenders, ice, mixers, garnishes, cups, and setup. This typically saves clients 30–50% compared to a licensed open bar.
Do you charge for travel?
We are based in the New Braunfels / San Antonio area and travel statewide. Austin events carry a flat $50 travel fee — that is the only difference from our local pricing.
How far in advance should I book?
Peak wedding season dates (March–June and September–November) book 6–12 months out. We intentionally limit our calendar to around 20 weddings a year, so we recommend inquiring as soon as you have a date.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not included in package pricing. Many clients choose to add 15–20% for the bar team or allow a tip jar at the bar.
