"Houston hosts big. Big venues, big guest lists, big bar bills — unless you know how the pricing actually works."
The Short Answer
In Houston and the surrounding metro — The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Katy, Pearland, Cypress — a professional mobile bartending package runs $700 to $1,800 (ice included) plus your alcohol, with a $50 travel fee for events beyond 30 miles of our New Braunfels base. Bartender-only service for small gatherings is $80 per hour.
Houston is one of our most requested markets — we have poured at Milano Event Center in Sugar Land and across the metro — and because we price flat rather than per guest, a 150-person Houston wedding costs exactly the same package price as one in San Antonio.
Our Flat-Rate Packages
Every package includes ice, cups, straws, napkins, garnishes, mixers, styled bar, setup and breakdown. Houston events add a single $50 travel fee — that is the only difference.
Houston Open Bar vs. Dry Hire
Houston venues and licensed caterers commonly quote $35–$55 per guest for a 4–5 hour open bar. For 150 guests that is $5,250–$8,250, with every unopened bottle staying with the caterer.
With Sip N Social on Wheels, the same 150-guest wedding looks like: Sip N Premium package ($1,800, ice included) + $50 travel + alcohol you buy at Spec's or Total Wine (typically $1,500–$2,400 for 150 guests on a curated menu with beer and wine) = roughly $3,350–$4,250 total, with every leftover bottle yours. Houston couples routinely save $2,000–$4,000.
Where the Money Goes
- Bartenders: Two premium bartenders on Classy but Not Sassy and Sip N Premium — critical for Houston-sized guest lists.
- The menu: Three hand-designed signature cocktails, printed menus, premium syrups and fresh juices.
- The bar: Our signature green wooden bar is built to photograph beautifully in large ballrooms and outdoor venues alike.
- Stations: Dedicated water and soda stations — essential in Houston heat.
- Details: Frosted logo cups ($200) or personalized photo stirrers ($150) turn a drink into a keepsake.
Houston-Specific Planning Tips
- Ice: Included in every package — and we bring extra for outdoor Houston events, because humidity melts ice fast.
- Frozen & refreshing menus: Frozen margaritas, spritzes and coolers keep guests happy in the heat and are cost-effective to batch.
- Venue rules: Many Houston venues require host liquor liability insurance for dry hire bars — inexpensive, and we can point you to it.
- Book early: Spring (March–May) and fall (October–November) Houston dates fill 8–12 months out.

Frequently Asked
Questions We Hear Most
How much does a mobile bartender cost in Houston?
In Houston, a professional mobile bartending package typically runs $700 to $1,800 for a full event. Sip N Social on Wheels offers flat-rate packages that all include ice: Keeping It Simple ($700, 3 hours), Classy but Not Sassy ($1,200, 5 hours) and Sip N Premium ($1,800, 6 hours). Bartender-only service is $80 per hour.
Is alcohol included in the price?
No. We are a dry hire service, which means you purchase the alcohol directly (usually at wholesale or retail prices) and we handle everything else — the bar, bartenders, ice, mixers, garnishes, cups, and setup. This typically saves clients 30–50% compared to a licensed open bar.
Do you charge for travel?
We are based in the New Braunfels / San Antonio area and travel statewide. Houston events carry a flat $50 travel fee — that is the only difference from our local pricing.
How far in advance should I book?
Peak wedding season dates (March–June and September–November) book 6–12 months out. We intentionally limit our calendar to around 20 weddings a year, so we recommend inquiring as soon as you have a date.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not included in package pricing. Many clients choose to add 15–20% for the bar team or allow a tip jar at the bar.
